“this is the perfect place to shoot from,” you think with a grin evident on your face. making your way further up, you reach a dark corner where there’s a small opening in the barrier. they sigh in defeat and hide until they’re able to access their laser gun again. hitting the laser’s trigger, you shoot at one of the opposing team member’s back target and it flashes red. as you run up one of the ramps, the cold air of the room hits your face. three, two, one, begin!” the speaker finally says, and with that the round begins. you and your team walk into the arena and head to different places as you wait for the game to begin. it was also very dark, and there were strips of lights emitting a blue hue. Minutes pass and two doors open leading to a very large room which had many different structures and ramps leading almost up to the ceiling. putting on the laser tag gear as the man instructed, the two of you send competitive glances at each other in a “you’re so going down,” manor. as you and haruka walk through, you make your way to your respective teams. once his speech is over, he opens another door which leads to a room separated in red and blue lighting. “alright bet.” and with that, you two wait for the instructor to finish. “where’s the confidence from a second ago? beat me and you won’t have to, loser,” you laugh jokingly. with a small pout, haruka says, “but it’s my birthday! you’d really make me do that?” he nudges your shoulder.

“yeah right! whoever loses has to buy dessert.

“it will! but it’ll definitely make things a bit more fun,” he responds grinning widely at you before making a second remark, “i’ll definitely beat you though.” you playfully scoff. while you’re on the red team, haruka is on the blue team. the two of you glance down at your tickets, noticing how they’re different colors. the colored dot on your ticket indicates which one you’ll be on!” the man in the front says. “there will be two teams! the standard red versus blue team. You and haruka find an empty bench and listen to the instructor explain the rules and teams. however, it had neon color changing lights on the top and bottom of the walls. this new room instead was very dark with black walls and carpets. “i have the tickets! let’s go before we miss the rules and announcements for the game.” entering a door to the left of the front desk, the room is much different than the lobby which was a dark blue with white designs and grey walls. after the worker hands you the two pastel blue slips, you excitedly stride towards your boyfriend. “this ought to be interesting!” as haruka wanders around the lobby, you make your way to the front desk to get your tickets for the game. “laser lane, huh?” haruka thinks to himself with his hand positioned under his chin. its neon letters stretching across the top, reading out “laser lane.” after parking, the both of you step out making your way to the entrance hand in hand. Steering to the right, you enter the parking lot in front of a brightly lit building contrasting against the darkness of your surroundings, not accounting for the street lights. "I hope I'll be able to wake up to you in 10 years." He tells you that they are promise rings to stay together. While it is not anything extravagant, he holds up his hand to display his matching ring. You get given a jewelry box when you open it, and inside you find a beautiful ring. During the scenery you're admiring, he's watching you. As you get into the canoe, he shows you the carvings on its sides. There are lanterns in the water and boats with couples in them across the water. The special part is when he takes you to an absolutely stunning lake scene in the evening. It wasn't just the lunch date that was special.

He has a special gift for you in his pocket as you two chat away talking about old memories and eating the same meal you had on your first date. I think Haruka loves to memorize the tiniest details about you. After all, it's where your first date took place. It doesn't appear to be anything special or fancy, but it holds many dear memories for you both. He would take you out to the particular cafe you like.
