Good luck and feel free to ask any other questions! Conversely, Todoist is based around it working for you, with you having to do as little input into the system as possible. Ultimately though, I think the difference comes from the fact that Omnifocus, while an excellently designed app, is a task manager that makes you work for it to get your work done.
You can do some of this with Omnifocus, but not near as much. For instance, I recently started a new job where everyone uses Asana and Slack for assigning projects, and it was super easy to create a Zapier workflow that intergrates with Todoist that takes any tasks assigned to me in Asana and messages sent to me in Slack and assigned them to me as todoist tasks with very detailed information. As someone else mentioned, Todoist's biggest strengths are in its natural language input and the fact that it is a web service with a native app, not a native app with a web backend.īecause of the second point, it's integrations with online services are second to none, and it allows for things to be put into todoist without you having to open the app.
